With Thanksgiving behind us, now is the time to get into the holiday spirit! December is the best time to experience a wonderland of events, with lights shining through the night sky and a cozy atmosphere wherever you go.

Baltimore offers plenty of events that you can attend to elevate your holiday season!

Shop Small
Baltimore welcomes the return of the Christmas Village! This event perfect for gift gathering will be open until Christmas Eve, and it is the perfect time to do some shopping while also grabbing a delicious bite to eat. Shop with over 70 vendors and come participate in one of their weekly events!

Another great event to check out for Christmas Shopping is Holiday Heap by Charm City Craft Mafia. This event is hosted on December 14th, and they have over 40 vendors to shop from. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Light it Up
Charm City is hosting another Holiday event, Charm City Lights, where you can enjoy the sights of the city at night. They host a one mile drive that showcases the many lighting displays around the city from November 30th to January 1st. If you can’t do the drive, they also have nights with special events for those who wish to walk through the event.

You won’t want to miss Olde Tyme Christmas in Fell’s Point! This event on December 7th is designed to give you a day of festive fun, and it features Santa himself on a tugboat in the harbor! The event ends with the lighting of the Fell’s Point Christmas tree.

Be Merry at Mobtown
If you love watching Christmas movies this time of year, then this event hosted by Mobtown Brewing is perfect for you. Join them on December 13th for their Christmas Movie Night, where you can enjoy the movie Die Hard with a nice cold beer.

One unique way to spend a brunch is in the company of the jolliest person in the world. Enjoy Brunch with Santa at Mobtown Brewing Company on December 14th. They will be serving a pancake breakfast with all sorts of toppings for you to enjoy. Make sure you grab a photo with the man in red while you’re visiting!

Treat Yourself
While it may not be for everyone, there’s no denying how much a staple Egg Nog is for the holidays. For our Egg Nog lovers, enjoy the annual Egg Nog tasting tour in Fells Point, where you can sample Egg Nog from all of the participating businesses. You are able to purchase more of your favorite flavors, and even vote for them for the favorite of the night.

Another event hosted in Fells Point is the Cookie Crawl, where you can travel through the city and taste cookies from an array of participating businesses. This event will be held on December 19th, so be sure to shop small and enjoy your cookies while you do so.

You can feast on the Christmas Eve Dinner Cruise, where you can flow down the Patapsco River and enjoy the sights with a three course dinner. There will be a DJ in attendance, as well as unlimited mimosas during their brunch cruise.

Other Festive Events
The Maryland Zoo is also hosting their own event, where you can enjoy the festivities with all the animals during any weekend in December. There will be different events for each weekend, including celebrations for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa! The last event the zoo will host is on New Year’s Eve.

Another perfect way to enjoy the holiday season is by enjoying a festive train ride. Check out the Reindeer Railway at the B&O Railway Museum where you can enjoy spiced cider and holiday cookies right after enjoying holiday crafts. This event will be hosted on December 29th, so it’s the perfect way to finish off the holiday season.

For the lovers of Mariah Carey’s famous hit All I Want for Christmas is You, enjoy her Christmas Tour at the CFG Bank Arena on December 7th! For those who are attending, please look at the baggage rules before you make your way over.

Happy Holidays
We hope that you can find something fun and festive to enjoy during this holiday season. These events are always more fun with people, so bring your friends and family to any event for a spectacular time. We wish you a Happy Holiday Season from Promenade!

With the temperatures around us finally starting to cool down, there comes many opportunities to enjoy our favorite fall activities. We’ve made a list of all our favorite things to do during this delightful time of year in and around Baltimore.

We have some special fall events happening right here in the city! First is the Fall Fest at Canton Merritt hosted by The Hero Rescue on September 21st. Meet some kittens and puppies in need of a new home, and enjoy some fall-themed snacks and drinks as you look around. There will also be games and prizes, and a pumpkin patch on the outdoor turf.

The Fall Rally in the Alley is another Power Plant Live event being held Saturday the 28th. All purchased tickets include a food ticket and five drink tickets, which can be used to grab your choice of their available ciders and beers. You will also have access to other participating venues in the area.

On September 22nd, the Fall Into Darkness ecstatic dance event will be hosted, made to honor the fall equinox and welcome the start of the official fall season. There will be experienced dancers helping everyone along, and a professional DJ providing all the music. Everyone, no matter their fitness level, is welcome to join.

To celebrate the beginning of fall, there will be another event the following weekend. The First Fall Run of 2024 will be held on September 29th, and anyone is welcome to join in, as long as they follow the safety requirements. Join the group for their first visit at Morning Mugs Coffee, the sponsor for this event.

Our last fall event we are excited to announce is the Equinox Wellness Festival on September 21st and 22nd. It aims to bring together local businesses and the community to celebrate the start of the fall season. Each day will have different events. Schedules for each day can be found on the website.

If you’re looking to explore some beautiful fall foliage, there are plenty of nearby places to do so:

The apple orchard and pumpkin patch at Weber’s Farm in Parkville is the place to be for the season! Prepare yourself for fresh fruits and vegetables, and some tasty treats, like their apple cider donuts, made from their produce. For those of you looking for more fun to add to the day, many other fall activities can be found here. Enjoy their duck races, tractor rides, corn mazes, and more!

Baugher’s Orchard is another great place to visit for apple picking. They have several types of apples available at a time for everyone to enjoy. For those of you who don’t wish to do the picking, you can buy some at their orchard or at their shop in Westminster. A petting zoo can also be found at their orchard, and if you choose to visit their shop, then feel free to check out their restaurant.

For all you cider fans in Baltimore, we have two cideries for you to choose from. Our first is at Two Story Chimney. They have a nice selection of sweet seasonal flavors made from many combinations of their seven available apple types. Right now, their seasonal bottles make up Mulberry, their honey Bee Sting, and Strawberry.

The other cidery nearby is Doc Waters Cidery, which started in 2018. They host different events by the week with a schedule released on their website, and which apples can be picked at their adjacent orchard. Right now, they have ciders like their Wild Woods and Pink Lady.

We are so excited to tell you about these fall events and festivities in and around Baltimore, and we hope you will check out some of our suggestions. Have a fantastic fall!

Summer has arrived in Baltimore, bringing with it some heat and the chance to enjoy some fantastic activities! Here at Promenade, we are invested in making sure that you know about everything our city has to offer, so you can make the most of your summer experience.

One of our coolest attractions in Baltimore is the Water Taxi! This relaxing cruise is the best opportunity of the summer to relax after work and enjoy the ride. They even  offer BYOB cruises, so pack a bag and bring some friends along for the ride!

The Orioles are playing at Camden Yards throughout the 2024 baseball season. Tickets are on sale now for games throughout the summer for a single game, Early Bird Saturdays, and many more bundles. Be sure to try the delectable food vendors, like Stuggy’s hot dogs.

A classic for summer entertainment is heading outside to watch some outdoor movies. The American Visionary Art Museum will bring back Flicks from the Hill with a showing every Thursday until August. Admission to the museum during this time is also free, and there will be food trucks and other pre-film activities to enjoy.

Summer is also a great time of year to get into beach volleyball! Baltimore Beach has different leagues open to players of all skill levels. For those who only want to play casually, drop in hours are available on weekends.

For those of you who prefer more ways to cool down in these rising temperatures, you might find pilates at Four Seasons to be a nice option. Their infinity pool offers a great view of the Baltimore harbor, making this a prime spot for exercise without getting too hot.

Another great place to go swimming is right here at Promenade! One of your available amenities this summer is access to our pool and grill. Cook your favorite meal and enjoy it poolside, right here at home.

It is the perfect time of year to enjoy some homemade ice cream from Bmore Licks. They have at least thirty different flavors every day, with a rotating menu of all their best flavors! Some of their summer flavors include blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, and S’mores.

There is no summer like a Baltimore Summer without having some of our world famous crabs! Check out Captain James on the water for some of Baltimore’s best crabs… and views!

Another Baltimore classic to grab while it’s hot is one of our snowballs! For those of you who are not familiar with them, they are finely shaved ice with popular flavors, such as egg custard. Places like Crushed Velvet have them in several fan favorite flavors, like Elderflower Peach and Cherry Cherry.

We hope that all of you enjoy your summer here in Baltimore. Remember to grab some sunscreen before you head out, and stay cool!

Preakness has been around in Baltimore since 1870, with the opening of the Historic Pimlico Race Course. This course has survived through a hiatus, a 1910 anti-gambling movement, and the great depression, standing today as the first track to have an electric starting gate in the country. This race is most famous for being the second out of the three races of the triple crown.

This year, you can enjoy all the festivities of Preakness on May 17th and 18th. Tickets are available now for Black Eyed Susan Day, Preakness 149, and Preakness Live. Drinks will be available at every level, and performing at Preakness Live this year will be Jack Harlow, Channel Tres, and more. Grab a seat for the event anywhere from the suites to the clubhouse to the turfside terrace. Each location has its own benefits, so don’t wait before checking it out and buying a seat!

If you don’t wish to attend the live event itself but still wish to watch, then check out Preakness Weekend on Point! Drink specials will be available for the event, which will be playing on several of their screens. This will be a great opportunity to bond with the community and enjoy some delicious food. The event starts at 10 in the morning, so head over whenever you can!

You don’t have to go out to enjoy Preakness, you can have all the fun you desire right in your home at The Promenade. Make your own Black Eyed Susans and make risk free bets with these betting squares from Etsy to place bets with your friends! If you do plan to throw a Preakness party, we have the perfect guide for you to follow to have as good a time as possible.

To tune in, just open up NBC, Peacock, NBCSports.com, or the NBC Sports app on May 18th from 1:30 to 7:30 pm. Post time will be at 6:50, so be sure you’re watching when the time comes!

We at The Promenade hope you all enjoy the upcoming Preakness race!

Match DayMatch Day is coming up — the final stretch for medical students all around the country. This is the day that many medical students find out where they will spend their residency.

If you’re a medical student and you’re matched to a Baltimore-area hospital, there are a lot of great reasons to work in the area, including close proximity to many big cities on the east coast, like Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York. Baltimore also has a lower cost of living compared to these cities with some great neighborhoods to live in, like Harbor East.

Harbor East is a bustling part of Baltimore, filled with restaurants, shopping, wellness, and nightlife that's located just east of the Inner Harbor, right along the waterfront. Within Harbor East, you’ll find a home at the Promenade.

Living at the Promenade means free bus service every ten minutes to downtown Baltimore. Promenade also offers complimentary coffee and tea service, a garden terrace with a pool and grills, and a business center with WiFi access. If you’re planning on bringing a pet along with you, the Promenade is a pet-friendly property.

Several hospitals in Baltimore are a short distance away from The Promenade. Listed below, you’ll find area hospitals ordered by distance from Promenade:

So, what are you waiting for? If you’ve been matched to a Baltimore hospital, be sure to schedule a tour of The Promenade today!

The new year has finally arrived, and with it comes a fresh start for so many people all over the world. Some people like to build up their healthy habits by engaging in a month-long absence from alcohol called Dry January. Some benefits that people have had include better sleep and weight loss.

MocktailsIf doing a Dry January seems difficult because you enjoy going out, then don’t worry! We’ve curated a list of all the best places to get mocktails in Baltimore, so you can still hang out with friends and have fun.

Our first spot on the list is Gunther & Co in Canton, where you can choose from a selection of unique mocktails, such as PEAR-Tect Your Neck with Pear-Elderflower Shrub and the Rose of Althea with Hibiscus Shrub. They also have a handful of non-alcoholic beers.

Prima Dopo in Fells Point is another great bar and restaurant to visit! They have three mocktails to choose from with your brunches. These include their Le Moxie with strawberry puree and lemon, and their My Cousin Dill with cucumber puree and lemon.

If you love mid-atlantic food, then you should grab some to pair with a mocktail at Bluebird in Hampden. They get all their ingredients from local farms and distillers, so drinks like their zero-proof Old Fashioned and Maltese Falcon are bound to be all the more delicious. Try and visit on a day they have live music!

If you want to travel to a beer garden, then Fadensonnen in Remington has a selection of non-alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy. Enjoy the open-air courtyard and the St. Agrestis Phony Negroni. Check out some of the events that take place here too, like their trivia nights!

Over in Fells Point, you’ll find Duck Duck Goose. Dine in for brunch or dinner and try mocktails like Matcha Moi, Seasonal Lemonade, and zero proof sangria.

Ouzo Bay in Harbor East has two mocktails for you to try with their Mediterranean dishes and seafood from around the world. They serve Arrow of Love with grapefruit, ginger, and rose, and Narcissus with pomegranate, hibiscus, and honey.

If you’re headed to Highlandtown, then check out what’s available at Sally O’s! They have some delectable meals which are paired greatly with their Fools Gold and Sun Tropics mocktails. Feel free to also check out their merchandise!

For a whole selection of non-alcoholic beverages, check out Hopscotch Bottle Shop! This is Maryland’s first non-alcoholic bottle shop, where they sell non-alcoholic drinks like Prima Pave Blanc de Blancs, which tastes just like sparkling wine! These are perfect for nights where you stay inside during this cold weather.

Whether or not you wish to join in on Dry January, we hope that you can enjoy some great mocktail options in the area!

ThanksgivingThe time of year is coming where everyone is getting prepared to create their delicious Thanksgiving feasts! While some people prefer to take control of every dish that is set onto their tables, others prefer to let others take the added responsibility away.

We know that Thanksgiving can be a stressful time, so let us take some of that stress away by providing some great options for food you can buy for the big day! Here are some of our favorites, whether you plan to dine in or carry out.

Full Courses and Sides
While it may be fun to try your hand at preparing grand feasts, it can be nice to have someone else do the prep work. For that reason, we have here a selection of places that sell some classic Thanksgiving sides and courses for you to get your hands on!

First off we have Sally O's over in Highlandtown. The pre-order gives you the option to pick from several different side dishes, including Braised Collard Greens, Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, and Oyster Stuffing. You have until the 20th to place your pre-orders, so check this out while you can!

Mama's on the Half Shell in Canton is another great option for ordering dishes ahead. They have a wide selection of sides and main courses alike, including their Honey Glazed Carrots and Sauteed Green Beans, as well as their Honey Glazed Ham and Roasted Turkey Breast.

Another great place to get your Thanksgiving feast is over at Atwater's. With various locations around Baltimore, this establishment has some classic side dishes to pre-order, and also the option to pre-order cheeses, soups, and bread! Some of their sides include Sausage and Cornbread Stuffing and their Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes & Cranberries.

Little Havana in Federal Hill has the option to pre-order packages of food for Thanksgiving. Their packages are meant for groups of people as little as two, or as big as twenty-six! With the option to add different sides, each package comes with Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Brioche Dinner Rolls, Herb Stuffing, Green Beans, Mac & Cheese, Turkey Gravy, and Cranberry Sauce.

Kneads in Harbor East has their own selection of packages to buy for Thanksgiving! When ordering, you have the option to choose Turkey or a Smoked Ham, as well as a selection of sides, such as Brussels sprouts, Mashed Potatoes with Garlic, and French Green Beans.

Corner Pantry in Roland Park allows you to order ahead via their Google Form, where you can select whatever sides and courses you want for Thanksgiving. Select as much or as little as you’d like, such as Cornbread Stuffing and their Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. While they do have food options, you can also buy flower arrangements and cocktail mixes.

Sobo Cafe in Federal Hill is another great spot to get yourself some sides or mains for Thanksgiving. With the additional option to dine in, you can order ahead for some of their delicious sides, such as creamed spinach, cranberry-orange sauce, and sweet potato wedges!

Desserts
The best food you can buy for Thanksgiving day is of course the desserts! Baltimore has a lot of options for you to choose from, including Cafe Dear Leon in Canton. Cafe Dear Leon has three dessert options to choose from, a Hazelnut Apple Tart, a Pecan Tart, and a Pumpkin Cheesecake. Any of these options would spice up your Thanksgiving feast and bring a new added flavor to the end of your day.

Sacre Sucre is another great place to pre-order some delicious desserts. Over in Fells Point, Sacre Sucre has four dessert options to choose from, including Pumpkin Flan and a half-dozen box of croissants. You can’t go wrong with flaky and buttery croissants after eating a helping of cranberry sauce!

Head over to the Charmery in Hampden for a selection of holiday pies! Pair pies such as Caramel Pumpkin and their Brown Sugar Molasses Pecan Pie with a pint of their classic ice cream. It’s the perfect combination to finish off a giant Thanksgiving dinner.

Dangerously Delicious Pies in Canton is another great place to visit for some delectable pies. They have flavors such as Sweet Potato, Salted Caramel/Toffee Crunch, and Mobtown Brown. If you’re also looking for pies that aren’t just good for desserts, they have a great selection of quiches and savory pies that would be a great addition to your feast!

Dining In
While traveling somewhere far, or hosting people in your home can be fun, sometimes you just don’t want to deal with the hassle at all. Luckily, there are some dine-in options offering Thanksgiving dinner.

Four Seasons is going to be serving a gourmet Thanksgiving brunch buffet to anyone who visits on Thanksgiving day! With a ticket purchase, you can get access to dishes such as Chef's Cheese and Charcuterie display, Cider Brined Roasted Turkey, and more!

Also an option for dining in on Thanksgiving is the Rusty Scupper. Their buffet requires reservations in order to attend, so be sure to grab tickets to try some of their Virginia Baked Ham, Candied Sweet Yams, and Bread Pudding.

Happy Thanksgiving
We hope that you’ve found an option that will help keep your Thanksgiving meal prep as low-stress as possible. From the Promenade family to yours, we hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving!

12pm – Enjoy some “boos” while you browse at Ottobar’s Halloween market! They’ll have special Halloween cocktails and over 30+ vendors to peruse.

1pm – The best way to show off your costume? A Halloween-themed bar crawl. Visit 10+ bars all around Fell’s Point and compete in one of the area’s largest costume contests. There will be plenty of drink deals, too.

8pm – Another event at the Maryland Science Center is one of the city’s biggest parties. From the rooftop dance party, to a Talking Heads tribute set, your ticket gets you access to tons of frightfully fun activities. A VIP pass even lets you skip the drink line!

10pm – Looking for a slightly smaller party? Check out Barcocina’s Halloween event. A $40 ticket gets you access to an open bar with music by DJ Mic_L. It’s a great place to party with your ghouls.

11pm – Want to spend the night on the harbor? The Spirit of Baltimore yacht’s party cruise is a super unique way to celebrate this Halloweekend. With 3 decks and 2 different DJs, this boo-ze cruise has it all.

Sunday, October 29th
10am – Recover from a fun night out with Halloween brunch at The Point. Or, get the party started again with $25 bottomless drinks. Either way, you can enjoy delicious food, like Chicken & Waffles, or a MD Crab Benedict.

10am – Zoo Boo is another great way to close out Halloweekend. The Maryland Zoo will be decked out for the holiday with games, contests, entertainment, and more. Costumes encouraged!

National CIt’s sure to be a brew-tiful day on September 29th: National Coffee Day. While we caffeine fiends at The Promenade enjoy coffee every day, National Coffee Day is a chance to take a moment to appreciate the best part of your morning routine –– or just indulge in a second cup (or third, we won’t judge).

Visit a Great Local Coffee Shop
If you treat yourself to a special beverage this National Coffee Day, skip the chains. The holiday is the perfect opportunity to check out a new coffee shop and support local businesses here in Charm City. These are some cafes we like a latte, all close to your home at The Promenade:

Order and Chaos
Now that fall is in full swing, cafes are whipping up creative autumnal coffees. Order and Chaos in Federal Hill is no exception. Their seasonal menu items include a pumpkin cheesecake latte, a peach cobbler latte, and a turmeric latte. Prefer something more traditional? They have plenty of espresso drink options.

Ceremony Coffee
If you take pride in knowing every note of every roast, try Ceremony Coffee in Harbor Point. Whether it’s a single origin, blend, or espresso, you’ll be impressed by their high-quality brews. They also have delicious signature drinks, like “Saturday Morning Cartoons,” an iced oat milk latte with fruity cereal syrup, peach cold foam, and cereal crisps.

Kneads
Known for its artisan baked goods, Kneads in Harbor East is the perfect destination for National Coffee Day. Bring your laptop and get some work done in their spacious cafe while you enjoy a nice cup of Joe. They even have their very own blend of drip coffee, made with local roaster Aveley Farms.

Pitango Bakery Cafe
Maybe you’ve been to Pitango for their tasty gelato, but did you know their bakery in Fells Point has excellent coffee too? Their menu includes everything from cafe au lait to cold brew. Make it your own with add-ins, including pumpkin syrup and oat milk.

Artifact Coffee
Looking for a unique coffee combination? Look no further than Artifact Coffee in Hampden. They have a wide-ranging menu of caffeinated beverages featuring Small Planes beans. Try the “Sweet Summer,” cold brew with sweetened condensed milk and Earl Grey concentrate, or the “Kaffelemonad,” iced coffee with lemon syrup.

Cafe Dear Leon
Don’t miss Cafe Dear Leon, a Canton staple with plenty of classic coffee menu items. Drinks are prepared on arrival to maximize freshness. While you’re there, you’ll definitely want to pick up some of their breads and pastries. They sell like hotcakes –– their offerings are timed to the hour, so be sure to check the bake schedule.

Cheers, Coffee Lovers
