We All Scream For Ice Cream In Baltimore This July!

  |     |   Uncategorized

Did you hear the scoop? July is National Ice Cream Month!

Is it Sundae Funday?

Promenade residents, it’s time to chill out! President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month. Reagan, too, declared National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in the month. (Ice cream is a great way to beat the summer heat, after all.)

Besides, Baltimoreans should especially celebrate National Ice Cream Month. Maryland Governor William Bladen mentioned the icy treat in a 1744 letter to a friend. This is the first known appearance of ice cream within the United States. Scoop, there it is!

Now, here’s where you can get the best ice cream in Baltimore.

Do You Love Hard Serve Ice Cream?

Sherbert you do.

BMore Licks

BMore Licks has the best homemade ice cream in Canton and Federal Hill. As a family-owned business, they have been scooping and serving over 30 flavors of ice cream. Try a new flavor, or your favorite flavor, in a cone, sundae, milkshake, and/or ice cream taco. BMore Licks also has non- dairy and vegan options, as well as soft-serve.

You cone do it! BMore Licks is known for their specialty cone flavors, such as fruity pebbles, amaretto, chocolate fluffernutter, and more.

Perhaps try their Samoa flavor, with a creamy, coconut base, mixed coconut cookies, and a caramel swirl.

Fell’s Point Creamery

Fell’s Point Creamery scoops up yummy ice cream flavors in cones, sundaes, shakes, and/or smoothies. Their ice cream cakes are also astounding. We definitely recommend their turtle ice cream cake topped with caramel, fudge, and pecans.

Oh, and don’t forget the sprinkles!

The Charmery

Anything is popsicle in Hampden. The Charmery’s pints and pies are definitely charming.

Try their fun and unique flavors, such as Nerds, Butter Croissant with Orange Marmalade, and Cantaloupe. The Charmery, however, is renowned for their After School Snack, which is a peanut butter base with cheddar peanut butter crackers mixed in.

Get (Soft) Served This Month

This delectable, soft serve ice cream will melt in your mouth.

Love ice cream a waffle lot? Miss Twist is a local staple and infamous ice cream truck. Miss’ twists can be served in a single or double waffle/sugar cone. This month, try the Creamsicle twist — it’s a perfect blend of orange and vanilla.

Miss Twist offers an array of toppings, such as sauces, sprinkles, candies, and fruits.

These Pints Will Make You Melt

Taharka Bros originated in 1993 as a non-profit organization aspiring to mentor and assist youth. Today, they are making and serving ice cream to further local communities. So, boost an employee-owned business this month with an ice cream purchase. They’re available at Taharka Stalls in Federal Hill, Remington, and Fell’s Point.

Treat yourself with Mintflix & Chillz, Matcha & Mochi, and Key Lime Pie.

Close to Home Cream

If you’re looking for ice cream just around the corner, look no further than Häagen-Dazs. This national chain features decadent classics, like Rocky Road and Mint Chip.

Stay Cool this Month

We hope you enjoy staying cool this National Ice Cream Month! If you visit any of the above Baltimore ice cream shops, feel free to tag us in your photos, @ThePromenadeHE.
