Lift Your Spirits: It’s Officially Spooky Season in Baltimore

HalloweenSee how to celebrate Halloween in Baltimore this year.

What’s Up, Witches?
Are you familiar with the origins of Halloween?

If you didn’t already know, Halloween has been a Celtic tradition for thousands of years. In Ireland, however, it is more commonly known as Samhain. During Samhain, many celebrated the end of the harvest season through festivals and feasts. On October 31st, however, many believed that the dead could communicate with the living. So, meals were prepared for deceased relatives and/or loved ones.

P.S.: Jack O’Lanterns were believed to ward off evil spirits! If you’re interested in the folklore and history behind Halloween, then read more here
